Frequently asked questions
Are the casinos on this site legal in the UK?
Yes. We only list operators holding a current licence from the Gambling Commission to serve customers in Great Britain. Each card shows the licence number with a link to the public register so you can check it yourself.
How do you make money?
Some links are commercial links: if you open an account through them we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing and does not change our scores, which come from the same four-step test for every operator.
What does a wagering requirement mean?
It is the number of times you must stake a bonus (or bonus plus deposit) before winnings from it can be withdrawn. A £10 bonus at 10x means £100 of bets first. Lower is better; wager-free offers pay winnings as cash.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
GB licensees must confirm your age and identity before you can deposit or play. This protects under-18s and helps prevent fraud. Have a photo ID and proof of address ready to speed things up.
How long do withdrawals take?
It depends on the operator and method. In our tests e-wallets and Trustly were often same-day, debit cards one to three working days. We record the actual time in each review.
Can I use a credit card?
No. Credit card gambling has been banned in Great Britain since April 2020. Debit cards, e-wallets and bank transfers are accepted.
How do I block myself from all casinos?
Register with GAMSTOP. It is free and excludes you from every GB-licensed online gambling site for six months, one year or five years.
